Case Study

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, pain falls under 4 catagories: Wind, Hot, Cold or Damp. Just for a moment, let’s explore how Wind plays a significant role in PAIN.  We know that wind causes movement.  Wind in the body has a similar flavour, it moves, causing spasms and contractures of the muscles.  When treating painful conditions, it is important to access if the Wind is quite prevalent and if it must be addressed as well as treating the painful condition. Without the addition of acupuncture points to treat the Wind, the pain may be slow to resolve or not resolve at all.
